Welcome to the official website for Viva Amiga, a documentary about the Amiga computer from the 1980’s, manufactured by Commodore Business Machines. I’ll be exploring the impact of the machine in the marketplace and on pop culture, but more importantly, I plan to focus on the human side as much as possible...stories from users and advocates, interviews with developers and former employees and hopefully some vintage and rare footage that Amiga fans haven’t seen (a tall order, I know).

This website will track the development of the film from pre-production all the way to distribution. After a fair amount of pre-production and research, shooting has begun!

I want this film to be a reflection of the spirit that was the Amiga - the idea that computers could be fun and exciting, creative, interesting. The film won’t just be for those interested in the Amiga or computer history. I think the story is bigger than that!

Viva Amiga is your film too. I’m making this site so that everyone can share their ideas and thoughts, and I hope to make some new friends along the way. Please post comments! I’ll be expanding into other social networking sites, so that the word really gets around. For now, just hit me up at vivaamiga@yahoo.com for email and post here on the blog!
